Papi Sarr, Adamson Snuffs UE Final 4 Hopes with Jerrick Ahanmisi Comeback

Papi Sarr and the Adamson Falcons exploded in the third quarter to give UE Red Warriors some beating in a 79-71 win. With the win, the Falcons strengthened their Final 4 campaign while the Warriors contention is now at its lowest.

The opening quarter saw Adamson’s dominance taking the lead, 24-20. However, Batiller-less UE Warriors fought back just before the first quarter ended and continued their streak until second quarter. Warriors took a 14-0 run but Adamson was quick to adjust, tying the ball game at 40.

Luck was definitely not on the UE side this time as they struggled to keep up with the Falcons, especially after lead point guard Philip Manalang sustained an injury. Adamson quickly went down with their hot shooting lead by Jerrick Ahanmisi, returning from a scoreless showing at the UP tiff.

With the heroics of Alvin Pasaol, UE was able to climb back at the last quarter, trimming Adamson lead to 66-70. However, Adamson quickly answered them with fast plays and great defense as they gunned for aggression in the last minutes of the fourth quarter. 79-69.

Papi Sarr lead the Adamson Falcons scoring with 25 points, 15 rebounds. Ahanmisi added 17 markers to claim solo fourth slot, with 5-5 record for Adamson. Alvin Pasaol, Paul Varilla lead the Warriors as they fell at a 2-8 record.
